2015 el año de los rascacielos - 2015 the year of the skyscrapers

El anual informe por parte de Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) ha revelado que más rascacielos fueron terminados en 2015 que nunca antes. Rompiendo el record de 106 edificios construidos con más de 200 metros. Llegando así a un total de 1040 rascacielos en todo el mundo.

The annual report from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has revealed that more tall buildings were completed in 2015 than ever before. This brings the total number of 1040 skyscrapers all over the world

2015 también vio la construcción y finalización de otros 13 edificios llamados "super-altos" con más 300 metros de altura. Incluyendo en esta lista el 432 Park Avenue en New York (425 metros) y la Shanghai Tower, siendo este último el segundo edificio más alto del mundo, con una altura de 632 metros.

2015 also saw building work complete on 13 so-called "super-talls" of over 300 meters tall. Including in this list 432 Park Avenue in New York (425 meters) and Shanghai Tower, being the world's second-tallest building with a 632 meters high.

Y como en años anteriores, Asia continua encabezando la lista, en concreto China. Pero ha sido Jakarta quien ha visto la mayor concentración de nuevos rascacielos. La capital de Indonesia tiene siete de los nuevos edificios con una altura mayor a 200 metros. Incluyendo el edificio de 258 metros de altura, el Sahid Sudirman Center.

As in previos years, Asia continues to dominate the list, particularly China. But is was Jakarta that saw the highest concentration of new skyscrapers. The Indonesian capital has seven new buildings of over 200 meters. Including the 258 meters high Sahid Sudirman Center.

Aun así el Burj Khalifa sigue siendo el actual edificio más alto del mundo con una altura de 828 metros.

Even so the Burj Khalifa is still the tallest building on the globe which measures 828 meters.
